Did you know that Colorado has a signature sandwich? I didn't either. Chef Standards says that the signature sandwich for Colorado is a:
"Fool’s Gold Loaf is the ultimate indulgence, made famous by none other than Elvis Presley. This legendary sandwich was born at the Colorado Mine Company restaurant in Denver. It features a hollowed-out loaf of bread stuffed with an entire jar of peanut butter, a full jar of jelly, and a pound of crispy bacon.
Legend has it that Elvis once flew from Graceland to Denver just to satisfy his craving for this decadent delight, securing its place in food history as a truly unforgettable sandwich."
